The Role of Shareholder Services
Course Overview
Shareholder Services / Transfer Agency is a key function within the
funds industry handling investor requests relating to funds. This
training programme provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of
the role of the shareholder services team.
The role of Shareholder Services training programme highlights the importance of new account opening in line with the Finance Act and Anti-Money laundering regulations and how the register is maintained. It looks at the trading activity of the fund, how units are created & liquidated and how the investor cash flows between the investor, the shareholder services / transfer agency department and the custodian. Delegates attending training will become aware of the interaction with other functions within the funds industry including the fund administrator, the custodian, the trustee, the investment manager and the impact their work has on these areas.
A key part of the role within Shareholder Services is dealing with
client queries and requests and delegates will have an opportunity
to review their behaviour towards clients and how they can improve
on it.
