Course Overview A key skill of an experienced manager is the ability to see the big picture and take the long-term view. Many managers spend most of their time dealing with operational “crises fires” in the workplace. In this way, they are reacting to problems rather than proactively developing an effective strategic plan. For many managers, it can be very difficult to stand back and take a hard look at what we they want to accomplish and plan how to accomplish it.
This programme aims to equip managers with the key skills of developing and achieving realistic strategic plans. It highlights the importance of overcoming operational constraints and focusing time and effort on stepping back and thinking both creatively and strategically.
It also covers areas such as resistance to change and how to deal effectively with the transition period.
