
Course Overview
This programme emphasises the importance of the leader of the team
as an individual in a position of power and explains why that power
needs to be used in a responsible manner. Being the team leader means
you are the designated role model and therefore need to lead by example.
It describes the benefits of delegation and the importance of preparing
and planning in effective delegation.
The team leader needs to make sure that everyone is clear about the
team's long-term goals and short-term daily or weekly objectives. Participants
are equipped with the skills to structure and manage team meetings
effectively and maximise participation of team members.
The programme cover the importance of keeping the individual motivated
and includes how theories of motivation can apply on a practical level
in the workplace.
